Stella is a name I was given years ago, thankfully it stuck!
Stella is my creative me. She lives on the edge, pushes limits and dreams big! Of course she and I are entwined spirits, but when there are dishes or laundry to do she is nowhere to be found!
Purl the opposite of knit - is an art my mother taught me when I was about 10, thankfully that stuck too!
I am Stacy Mayou, wife and mom! I have had a fortunate life…amazing childhood surrounded by family that loved me, married my high school sweetheart at 19 and set out to see the world with the Air Force. I spent 20 amazing years (My husband retired after 22 years of service) with the Air Force; on our way around the world we had three beautiful babies. They have been so much fun, and have grown into amazing people. I love watching them become themselves; an awesome experience – wisdom of the universe shines through them!
As our house has changed from Brio train tracks to guitars and amplifiers, from kiddy pools to constant swim meets my family has pushed me back to my art. They seem to derive pleasure from my accomplishments – funny that!
