An Elegant Connection

My first attempt at a chainmaille connection! I think it looks wonderful and hopefully with some practice they will soon be spectacular!!!

Next on the list of items I need to try is magnet clasps to change necklace sections. Ok, in slow motion so I understand when I re-read! One section of chain, say silver, with a magnetic clasp, then a second section, say gold with silver beads woven throughout and a magnetic clasp, can I stick the two sections together? And what if I have a bronze chain with gold and silver beads and a magnetic clasp, can I stick that on the original silver section the next day? I think so!

Too much to do, not enough time, I'm outa here to buy a few lottery tickets!!!

Like being struck by Lightening

You know how it is when you're too close to see the obvious. Then out of the blue the simplest of ideas sticks and knocks the wind out of you! Well, it happened and I have been waiting!!!

One of the issues I have with my Viking knit jewelry is that although the chain is gorgeous and versatile I am stuck purchasing less than desirable cap ends for the chain. The price of silver the way it is, I have resorted to the coated silver and it just doesn't stand up well to daily wear and the chain is so good for daily wear!

The lightening bolt was...make my own!!! I know, that's a no brainier, right? But I have tried wire wrapping for the ends, bang your wrist in something and the pretty wrap is ruined; I have tried making them out of polymer clay, and although I still think that is a great idea, I am not practiced in that medium and not ready to wear anything I can create out of it. But, chainmaille, now that's the ticket!!!

There are so many beautiful patterns to choose from, it would blend so well from the Viking knit to the clasp! I am so rejuvenated! Ready to finish this chain and see what I can do!
